MAGAZINES
Lifestyle, travel and women's magazines is a newly found passion of mine. I love creating beautiful pieces that make the reader feel good. I have interned for BELLA, Weg! and BLOSS and I worked as a journalist for Get It Joburg West for a year.
BELLA
April 2017 and May and June 2018
This was my first ever experience at a women's magazine and I completely fell in love with the unique stories, the fashion and the glamour in BELLA. During this internship, I wrote stories for die MATRIC and TECH sections and I conducted interviews for one of the features. I also wrote a few stories for their website. I had the privilege to be part of the cover and fashion photoshoots. It was inspiring to see so many young women doing what they love while working with a virtual editorial team. In May 2018, I was appointed as both TECH and SUCCESS editor at the online magazine. I wrote articles for their website and got to work with amazing people, mostly women and entrepreneurs as well as a lot of big local
companies. I quit in June 2018 after getting position at another company.

WEG!
July 2016 and June to July 2017
During my two internships at Weg! travel magazine, I wrote stories for print and online. I went out into the streets of Cape Town to find stories and I learned the unique style of this magazine.

BLOSS
May 2017 - October 2017
In this time I was the magazine's business assistant as well as REAL LIFE and SUCCESS co-writer. I helped with basic admin and editorial duties as well as networking with relevant companies and institutes. I also blogged monthly on the BLOSS blog site under the REAL LIFE and SUCCESS sections. During this time my love for women's magazines grew into a passion. I also learned a lot about the editorial and publishing side of the media.

GET IT JOBURG WEST
July 2019 - May 2020
I was a journalist and photographer at the local Get It Joburg West magazine. I worked on all sections of the magazine from food to beauty to travel but I enjoyed doing the profiles the most. I also did advertorials and created content for the website and I got to shoot promotional videos for the Facebook page.
