NEWSPAPERS
I am a very diverse journalist with a great passion for the media. I have good writing skills and a natural news sense. I'm good at newsgathering and writing hard news, depth articles, features and blog posts. I see each story as a new challenge from which I can learn and deliver a better product. In 2012 I discovered my passion for the media while interning at our local newspaper, Stellalander. Since then I have been involved with Wapad, Netwerk24 and Maroela Media and I worked as a full-time journalist at the Randfontein Herald community newspaper for a year.
WAPAD
2014-2016
Wapad is the NWU student newspaper. In 2014 I was a news, lifestyle and sport journalist. In 2015 I was the news editor as well as a journalist and layout artist. In 2016 I was the photo editor and the newspaper won a ATKV Mediaveërtjie.

NETWERK24 / BEELD
June 2016
During this internship I job shadowed some of the journalists, videographers, and photographers. In this week I attended Seal's South African press conference, visited the court and attended the EFF Youthday rally. I live-tweeted at the rally and in court and I had the privilege to take photos for the BEELD and their online platform, NETWERK24, in court.

MAROELA MEDIA
April 2017
During my internship at Maroela Media, I became familiar with news aggregation. I had to translate and rewrite articles form ANA (African News Agency).

RANDFONTEIN HERALD
June 2018 - June 2019
I was a journalist at the Randfontein Herald community newspaper. I worked on all beats from school news to sport as well as hard news and profiles. I wrote for the newspaper as well as the website and I use tools such as videos and photo galleries to present my stories.
